Anyone participating in a Boxrally who already has a Wegive link or be in an official support team.
How does it work?
You use an app on your phone to send location points to a file on the internet.
Your followers open your page that displays your location on a map.

- Send us your details so we can setup your tracking:
- We'll setup your tracking and get back to you with further instructions to setup the app on your phone.
What happens when we have no phone signal?
You won't send any points! But, when we're out of range, one of the teams has a satellite tracker that fills in the gaps if you haven't sent a point for an hour.
This worked reasonably well over the past years, so that's happening again this year. Even if you never send a point, your approximate location will be displayed.
My co-driver and I both have a phone, which should we use?
Only load the software on one phone.
In order: iPhone, Android.
Does the app use a lot of data and battery?
Data, not so much, over the course of the rally maybe 100MB max.
Battery: A fair bit.
GPS should be enabled for the whole time so that'll drain the battery.
You should have a way to charge your phone in the car organised.
I've set my phone up as per the instructions yet my page still says "Tracking not started". What's gone wrong?
Double check you have followed the instructions provided in the email sent to you after registration, and that the mode in your app set to 'move' as per the instructions.

Everything is working fine, but my points are always miles away from my actual location. Why?
A couple of things. Is your GPS on? If it is, make sure your phone has a good view of the sky.
It gets its location from satellites.
If your phone is in a handbag, glovebox or centre console your location will be inaccurate as your phone will possibly switch to another method for location.
